Community Service

Hester’s Creative Schools strongly believes it is important for children to learn to share and to be responsible members of their community. We teach by what we do. Hester’s staff and families participate in community service in a variety of ways each year.

• We participate in the WGHP-TV Christmas Toy Drive, and on December 15th of each year the children of Hester’s are on television as they deliver the toys we have collected to the station.

• The families of our schools participate in the Annual Food Drive for the Homeless sponsored by Greensboro Urban Ministries.

• Our Hester’s teachers and staff participate in blood drives sponsored by the American Red Cross as crises occur.

• In October of each year, Hester’s staff donates to a local organization working on breast cancer awareness and Hester’s matches dollar for dollar the staff's contribution.

• The Hester’s staff's holiday party has traditionally included a silent auction and the proceeds are donated to the United Way of Greensboro.
